1st set Valerio Cosi/Enzo Franchini
2nd set Neokarma Jooklo sextet
3rd set Makoto Kawabata solo

"here it's the 1st Qbico U-nite on Video, nearly two hours long. 1st set is a burning free jazz duo by Valerio Cosi on sax and Enzo Franchini on dr, then we got nearly an hour of Neokarma deep space rituals, last but not least a Makoto Kawabata solo. there was also a kind of 4th set in the small wee of the night by an incredible trio: Makoto Kawabata- fender rhodes/Virginia Genta- tenor sax/David Vanzan- dr but unfortunatly nobody was there to videotape it (Makoto said to me afterwords that he didn't played fenders since 25 years !?)...oblique shooting by Lazarus and mesmering psychedelic effects & lights by Elisa."

"Two more amazing videos by Con: Lux Mix '81 which is rich in geometric images and patterns... while the other video is called Plansystem and is made only by slowly moving his fingers, fascinating ! as soundtrack, of course, some unreleased surreal electronic music..."

WORDS:

The Wire- August 2003 issue 234 as part of the fascinating "New wierd Amercia" article: "Selected highlights from their extensive visual archive are now on a video released on the Qbico label. It's a fantastically revealing document, with surreal drug goofs, mock arguments and prank setpieces, spliced with guerrilla theatre and some powerful live footage. Spanning their entire career, the footage includes early sound art pieces involving microphones used as lassos, and Pigpen-era Greatful Dead-type Country funk reinterpreted by an orchestra with a post-fire music mindset." Incredible and not to be missed complete 50 min. live set (some excerpts issued on Side B of the "Conspiracy Nation" LP), shot on two cameras and in the end mixed together to create a very psychedelic effect (along with others "effect" such as slow motion, distorted images, ect...). A rare chance to see such an amazing Ensemble live (which unfortunatly by now, have never played outside to US) and capture them in full glory !!!

QBICO VIDEO 01

CONRAD SCHNITZLER- CONvideo70's (QBICO VIDEO 01) 90 min. videocassette (Sony Premium with hardbox), numbered

10 videocassette only, numbered from I to X, available in special hand-made covers

CONvideos collect some of the most adventurous and amazing single videos produced by CON in the seventies, more than 15 videos had been selected and taped from original master tapes for a better image and sound quality ! They range from CON street performances, mime show, light show, surreal images, psychedelic motifs, ect... with unreleased "dramatic electronic music" as soundtrack ! These videos are available here officially for the 1st time, as some of these single videos used to float around the bootleg market in the past with bad quality.
